4) Avoid taking shortcuts through deserted areas.
5) If someone ask for directions, keep a safe distance.
6) If a thief demands your valuables, hand them over. If possible, throw them
away from you and run.
7) You're safe in the company of others. If you must be alone, stay away from
dark corners, alleys and doorways.
8) Keep ID, driving licence, credit cards, etc in a pocket or concealed pouch
to reduce the risk of losing them to thieves.
9) If you are robbed, try to remember the attacker's face, the licence plate number
and the make of the vehicle. This information could save others.
10) Report all incidents of snatch theft to the police.
