If you are leaving your house empty
for a few days, please DO the following:-
a) Tell your neighbors and leave
your contact Nos with them..
b) No newspapers and letters, as
letter box will be full of envelops and flyers.
c) Switch on your back and front
porch lights.
Back door
must always be locked and also front grille.
d) Homeguard assist members, inform
the Control Centre and guard post for Tiger eye
service.
e) Check whether your alarm is in
working order. The sensors and alarm batteries must be
new.
f) Blind must be rolled up and
fastened.
g) Tell neighbors if any tinted car
parked outside with man on his h/phone, could be an
accomplice.
h) If neighbor’s house is empty,
extra care must be put at the back lane.
i) CCTV recorder must be hidden and
locked away.
j) Remove leafy plants around the
porch and windows – hiding zones for robbers.
k) Do not leave car spare keys
inside the house. Possible hid it or take along.
l) Clamp lock your grilles with
good steel locks.
m) Sometimes neighbors might think
pest control or gardener is in the compound.
n) Professional robbers wear gloves
& face mask to protect identity.
o) CCTV cameras can be pushed with
a long stick or pole
p) If gated areas quickly call the
guard house security, to call the police, if you see
something
suspicious.
