Dear
Residents,
The
idea of having a security scheme in Jalan Terasek 2 was discussed by a few
concerned residents who then formed an interim committee to spearhead the
scheme. The committee which included Mr.Pereira, Gary Soong, Tan Cheng Kiat Dr
Brahma and Mr.Salvinder Singh, set about to communicate with the other
residents and with some security providing companies. With confidence gained
from the support shown by many of the residents, it was decided that, for a
start, Jalan Terasek 2 will have its own security scheme. A meeting with the
residents was convened at 10.00am on 21st April at Jalan Terasek 7.
About 40 residents participated. Many questions were raised and Mr.Brian Raj,
representing Sri Lara Security, was present to provide some answers and explain how the system works. At the end of
the session residents representing 30 houses signed up as members for the
security scheme. Many others also showed their interest to subscribe to the
scheme.

The
exact location where the guards will be station will be fanilized by this week.
A canopy will be provided temporarily until a proper cabin is sourced. He will
do hourly patrols along the road from one end to the other. He will be equipped
with a torchlight and a truncheon and do clocking at designated points. The
clocking records will be periodically scrutinized by the security committee.
It
is the ardent hope of the committee that residents will give their full support
and cooperation towards the successful implementation of the Jalan Terasek 2
Security Scheme so that their enclave is safe from untoward incidents.
